Springdale, SC 07/16/2022 (Paul Kirby) – Beginning Monday, July 18, 2022, the City of Springdale will operate on a new modified sanitation pickup schedule to better assist sanitation crews in dealing with the summer heat. This change will remain in effect until September 30, 2022 and will take place annually during the summer months from now on.
The new schedule will have pickups starting at 6:00 a.m. Periodically, collections may need to operate on an adjusted route due to logistics, mechanical issues with equipment, and the health and safety of our employees.
The instructions below should help all residents of the City of Springdale understand the changes. These changes do not affect waste or recyclables at businesses or apartment complexes where the City of Springdale does not remove these materials.
Monday: Household garbage must be placed curbside for collection by 6:00 a.m. and will be collected by the end of the business day on Tuesday.
Wednesday: Recycling must be placed curbside for collection by 6:00 a.m. and will be collected by end of day Wednesday.
Thursday: Yard waste must be placed for pickup by 6:00 a.m. and will be collected by the end of the day on Friday.
The City of Springdale management would like to thank you for your patience and understanding as they make these adjustments. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact City Hall at 803-794-0408.
